Joinly sponsored by the Academy of Mathematics and Systems Science (AMSS) in the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Morningside Center of Mathematics in the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Tsinghua University, the 7th International Congress of Chinese Mathematicians was held at the Great Hall of the People on July 6th. Prof. Jianfeng Feng, Dean of Fudan ISTBI and Chair professor of Shanghai Mathematics Centre; Prof. Michael waterman, Distinguished Professor of Fudan ISTBI, were invited to attend the conference and delivered speeches.

The International Congress of Chinese Mathematicians (ICCM) is a triennial event that brings together Chinese and overseas mathematicians to discuss the latest research developments in pure and applied mathematics. It is initiated by Professor Shing-Tung Yau and held every 3 years. It is the world’s largest and the most influential event in Chinese scientific community.
