The Key Laboratory of Computational Neuroscience and Brain-inspired Intelligence (LCNBI) was approved for construction in February 2018, and passed the acceptance of the Ministry of Education in January 2021 and was officially put into operation. With the advantage of multidisciplinary platform of Fudan University, LCNBI gathers professionals in the fields of mathematics, computer science, neuroscience and system science, and is committed to producing major original breakthroughs in the fields of brain-inspired artificial intelligence algorithms, intelligent diagnosis and treatment of brain diseases, brain-inspired intelligent chips, and intelligent research and development of new drugs, etc., to lead the integration of brain science, artificial intelligence and industrial applications, realize the innovation of the future intelligent industry, further enhance the influence of Fudan University in the field of brain-inspired intelligence and undertake major scientific research tasks on projects surrounding major national needs.
