  • Brief Introduction:Dr. Weiyang Ding received a bachelor's degree in mathematics and applied mathematics and a doctorate degree in computational mathematics from the School of Mathematical Sciences, Fudan University in 2011 and 2016, respectively. His doctoral supervisor is Professor Wei Yimin from Fudan University. From October 2016 to August 2017, he did postdoctoral research in the team of Professor Qi Liqun, Department of Applied Mathematics, Hong Kong Polytechnic University. From September 2017 to November 2020, he was a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics, Hong Kong Baptist University. He then joined the Brain-inspired Intelligence Science and Technology Research Institute of Fudan University in November 2020 as a young researcher. Dr. Ding's recent research interests include structural matrices, tensor computation and optimization, and their applications in brain and brain-like sciences, data analysis, and signal processing. Dr. Ding has published 1 academic monograph and 15 journal papers, 3 of which are ESI highly cited papers. Currently, he is in charge of a National Natural Science Foundation of China Youth Science Fund project and a project of the Shanghai Brain Science and Brain-inspired Research Center "Seeking Outstanding Youth" project.
