Introduction

To improve the clinical treatment of some key neural and psychiatric disorders, the center aims to develop the neural sensing and processing approaches to neuro-dynamics information, explore the integration strategy of brain information and plasticity mechanism of brain functions. By combining neural coding and the intelligent theories, the center develops the neural sensing, neural modulating and neural computing technologies, innovate in the brain-intelligence technology, build up the intelligent system on-chip, and create self-learning intelligent human-machine interface. Through research in the intelligent neuro-modulation and neural-bionics, our goals are to provide intelligent devices and creative solutions to protect, improve and modulate the human brain.

DirectionI: Neuro-modulation and neuro-bionics

The aims are to repair and rehabilitate neural functions. We develop approaches for neural dynamic information decoding and encoding, explore the integration strategy of brain information and plasticity mechanism of brain functions, innovate the brain-intelligence technology with neural sensing, neural modulating and neural computing, develop intelligent neural stimulation and neural prosthesis devices, and realize intelligent neuro-modulation and neuro-bionics of neural networks.

Direction II: Human-machine interface

The aims are to develop intelligent human-machine interactive systems. We develop physiological, biochemistry and behavioral biomedical sensing chips, establish intelligent human-machine systems which information sensing and fusion, real-time identification and decision-making, and adaptive controlling. We will develop intelligent wearable devices and interactive medical robots, and provide precise treatment and rehabilitating solutions for brain diseases.
